Please be in prayer for Kelly's dad. His dad, Bob, had surgery this morning on the artery in his neck. We have two main arteries, one on each side of our neck that carries blood to the brain. Bob has one that is completely blocked and the other that was 90% blocked. Over the last few months, he had several minor strokes due to some bleeding. The surgery this morning was to open up the one that was still functioning; the other will remained blocked. The surgery was successful, and the doctor was able to get the blockage out. He will have to go again on Friday, May 30th to have his leg amputated due to gangrene. He will lose his leg above the knee. He also has very poor circulation in general and could mean the loss of his other leg in the future. All of this has been very difficult for Bob to accept and has put a tremendous amount of stress on the whole family. Please pray that there will be healing and recovery. Pray also for Bob's heart to be softened to a personal relationship with God.

Micah has had some difficult days this week with an increased number of seizures, but he has also had some really good days. Yesterday he was verbalizing with sighing and squealing. He was also doing a lot of moving on his resonance board, a board that vibrates with sound and movement. He was grasping toys and kicking and batting at them to make noise and vibration. However, when he has a good day like that, he is usually wiped out the next. So for now he is still sleeping and having quite a few seizures.

Thank you for your prayers. These last couple weeks have had some trying times for our family and ministry. We are preparing for Kelly's three-month sabbatical. We are excited about getting away, having a break, and resting, but with that comes a lot of preparation. Pray that God will strengthen and direct our church leaders during this time. Pray that the body of Christ at New Harbor would grow and continue to meet together and be committed to one another. Pray for God's protection over His people, for many are going through difficulty, and we need to pray for and minister to one another.

Well Micah is sick again. He woke up yesterday happy after a few rough days. We thought he would have a great day. I took him to school and when I cam back an hour later he was all congested and coughing. As the day went on, his symptoms progressed. He has a fever, very goopy nose, and croupy cough. He is crying in misery now as it is hard to breathe, and he feels miserable. Isabel had a cold for a couple of days over the weekend, so that is probably where he got it from. Please pray for a quick recovery and that this doesn't get worse.

Pray for wisdom for us as we are needing to pursue a new specialist in regards to the Ketogenic Diet. We believe it is time to start reducing the ratio of fat in Micah's diet and try weaning him slowly off the diet. We have not had much help in the past because there is very limited knowledge about this diet. However we are hoping that coming off the diet will not be as complicated as getting started or maintaining.

Pray for us too as we minister to other families with similar situations. Most do not have the support and hope that we have.

We are thankful for all you prayer warriors. May God bless you and reveal Himself to you as you pray.
