News from January 2009

We had a wonderful holiday season. Our Christmas at home was quiet and restful. We also got to go to Southern California to be with our family and have lots of fun.

Micah has had a little cold but is faring well. He continues to do well overall, and we are so thankful. His school routine and services have been affected by recent budget cuts, but we are trusting in God to continue to supply all that he needs.

I am mostly wanting to ask you to pray for another precious little girl with MPEI. Her name is Niamh. Niamh is just a couple months older than Micah and lives in Europe. She is doing very poorly. Her mom sent an email to our support group asking those of us that still have faith to pray for her daughter and their family. She shared that she has lost her faith at the diagnosis of Niamh but sometimes feels comfort in praying. She also believes that the prayers of faith-filled people wouldn't hurt. As I read other parents respond to her words, most echoed that they too had lost their faith with the arrival of there sick child. My heart breaks for these families that have no hope in a loving Creator. Please join with me and pray for this family and that God would reveal Himself in a powerful and obvious way. For the sake of their salvation I pray that God will do something miraculous. Nothing is impossible for our great God.
