Biography

Dale grew up in a small town in Oregon. He attended church and Sunday School with his mother and accepted the Lord as his Savior at a summer church camp when he was 12 years old. At 16, he decided to try life on his own and is grateful that God didn't give up on him.

Dale worked in the lumber industry in Washington and Oregon. In 1986, he married his first wife, Lori, and became a dad to sons, Corey and Christopher. They attended church as a family because Dale wanted his children to have an opportunity to love the Lord as he did. The family was baptized together in September 1987.

Dale's wife Lori was diagnosed with cancer in March 2002. She went to be with the Lord in August 2002. As a widower, Dale became involved in a non-profit organization for widows and widowers. Indirectly through this web site, he met Alicia Muth, a member at New Harbor Community Church. He firmly believes God put him and Alicia together because they were living 580 miles apart from each other. Dale and Alicia were married by Pastor Kelly in October 2005, and he became a dad to Kayla and Ashley.

In 2008, Dale and Alicia felt led to start the GriefShare Ministry at New Harbor. Dale is honored to be asked to serve as a deacon.

Life Scriptures

"The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace."
Psalm 29:11

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal."
Isaiah 26:3-4

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect."
1 Corinthians 15:10

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you."
2 Corinthians 4:7-12
